Changes at Brewstore - safe ways to shop

Updated 25 Sept with new International shipping rates & new Saturday delivery rates!

There are some changes to the normal service we are able to offer at Brewstore.  Please take a minute to read this before ordering or enquiring;

We have refitted the shop internally to accommodate social distancing in the workplace and public areas in line with social distancing requirements - we want to keep your time instore safe for our colleagues and customers so we have adapted the shop to allow minimal contact time required to collect online orders which can be purchased through the website and picked up from our new contact free Click and Collect reception area. There is no facility to browse products in the shop. Our products and stock levels are available to view on the website, and once you have received confirmation your order is ready to pick up you can come to the store sure that your items are waiting for you when you arrive to collect them. We can still give you advice on products and brewing processes by email.

You can buy from the shop without pre ordering during collection times (card payments only -no cash) but please check stock levels on the website first as supplies are still limited. Ordering online first and choosing a collection will avoid you coming to the shop to find the items you are after are not in stock.

Grain orders over 2kg must be pre 0rdered - please use the website for Click and Collect, you can order each grain type to be bagged individually or if you have a recipe and you want the grains bagged together per recipe use the Recipe Builder which also saves your recipe in your customer account for future use.

You can order online at for home delivery via Parcelforce, Royal Mail or to Collect your order from our Edinburgh store.

Click and Collect collection times;

10am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Please wait until you have received confirmation by email that your order is ready for collection before coming to the shop on any of these collection times.

Can I get a refill for my S30/L30 C02 cylinder?

We cannot send gas L30/S30 cannisters out via courier. You can however order a new cannister/cylinder online and choose to Click and Collect from our Edinburgh shop. If you have an empty cylinder and return it to the shop we will refund your deposit to your card on receipt of the returned cylinder.

If you cannot use Click and Collect to return or purchase a cylinder, we recommend you purchase a  bulb holder with CO2 8 gram disposable bulbs and a either an S30 to Pin Valve conversion pack to use with your S30 valve, or an S30 pin valve or you can buy a Sodastream convertor  to use the new Sodastream cannisters.

When will I receive my order?

All orders are processed on a first in first out basis, we are getting most orders out in a couple of days and you can check the progress by logging into your Brewstore account. Before you enquire about your order please check;

If you have placed an order with Brewstore you will have received an automated confirmation email with an order number in it and you will have a payment receipt from either Paypal or Sagepay.

Once we have dispatched your order we'll email you to say it is ready for dispatch and then Parcelforce will text your mobile or email you the day before your delivery and again on the day of delivery with a timed slot. If you need to re-arrange your delivery day or time please text them back directly. Unless you have arranged a Safe Place for your parcel to be left with the courier and if you do not answer the door to the delivery Parcelforce will redirect your parcel to your local Post Office for you to collect.

Covid-19 delays are still happening due to the courier workloads so we will not ship live yeast at the end of the week incase it gets held up in transit. We'll ship orders containing live yeast early in the week to avoid this happening, and they are packed with ice packs to keep them fresh.

If you have booked a Click and Collect order it will only be ready to collect from our Edinburgh shop after we have emailed to tell you it's picked and ready for dispatch. (ie. for collection).

When will this item be back in stock?

With all supply chains being under pressure at the moment we have very little info into what will be sent in any of our stock request orders to our suppliers, they often do not know themselves what is coming in and when it will arrive! New stocks are coming in every day though.

We understand that this is frustrating if you are looking for a specific product. To be notified directly when an item comes back into stock at Brewstore you can click on the link which says " sign up to get notified when the product is back in stock" which is on every product page on the website. Alternatively check out the recommended alternatives in the tab "we also recommend" at the bottom of the page as these are chosen to be complimentary or similar to the item you are looking at.

Can you send me instructions?

All the Small Batch Brewery all grain and extract brew kits already have the instructions on the beer brew kit product pages for you to download or print.

Some of our other products have instructions added in the Additional Information / FAQ tabs at the bottom of the product pages. Please also check the Brewstore Brewing Guides and Product instructions sheets and our recipe pages in the Brewstore Blog  - we'll be adding to these as fast as we can!

We hope you stay safe and well and thank you for your support.

Best wishes
