King Keg Beer Pressure Barrels

King Keg Pressure barrels for carbonating and dispensing beer or cider can hold a 23L (5 gallon) brew. The King Keg is strong and durable with a wide 4 inch cap allowing access for cleaning and tightening the tap. The King Keg comes with a dispensing tap at the bottom, or at the top of the barrel - with this option providing the benefit of being able to be stored on the floor but leaving room to get your glass under the tap.

Use your King Keg to carbonate and serve your beer or cider from after fermentation. Siphon your brew from the fermenter once fermentation is complete, into your King Keg - adding priming sugar if you want carbonated beer - and mix well, screw the lid on tightly, leave at room temp. for 2 weeks to allow the natural secondary fermentation and carbonation to take place, and a couple of weeks more to cask condition your brew improving the flavour and leaving the beer clear. Any yeast sediment will fall to below the level of the dispensing tap

The 4 inch wide King Keg cap can be fitted with an S30 valve to use S30 CO2 cylinders or Pin valve to use CO2 8 gram gas sparklet bulbs which can be used when your brew starts to lose pressure to replenish the force of the pour and keep the brew fresh till the end. N20 (nitrogen) 8gram sparklet bulbs can also be used with the King Keg fitted with a Pin Valve to give your Stouts that Guinness like Nitro Stout creamy texture and head.
